Due to the Holiday’s, I have been wanting to do a little gift guide. Yet, Not your typical guide. All my book worms this one is for you. Due to the new year commencing. Myself being a huge book worm here are several books I have certainty falling in love with in 2017 :
Finding yourself in a heart break, these are for you. I have stumbled upon, these at target. Yup, I said it not your typical place to go find good reads. I was just strolling around and now and then I find myself so bored with nothing but time on my hands I go through their book selection. ( I seriously paid $17.00 for each, I know what’s wrong with me but I found them on amazon for almost half the price. Click the link) I found these bad boys and I was so happy I did after reading the first 3 pages I was in love and I had to finish it so I went ahead and purchased the first 2 and had to go for the third. Not only are the powerful and strong but I found myself relating to every single one of them. R.H shin is such a talented writer and the way he pours his heart into them are for sure a tear jerker. They are little guided poems of heart break, Relationships, self worth, and most of all what you are willing to handle. If you are like me. I out my whole soul into a book not only is it a good way to get away from reality a bit but also a helpful guide to know what others who have gone through what you have or what you would never want to wish on others.
Okay, Lets start of with the fact that if you don’t know who Conner Franta is you would of never guessed it was based on a true story this is a Diary of what he went through coming out to his parents and living a life in new York it is filled with amazing Photography as well and poems here and there. When I picked this book up I was Drawn to the cover I know, I know. All pretty and pink with flowers. I decided to purchase it on my lunch break from work. I seriously just opened it and read a couple of poems and I was like wow. Also this was during the summer when I was feeling very down and every line was just relatable at the time. Also opened my eyes to how others are feeling and what their thoughts are.
C.S. Lewis, IS AMAZING !!! I’m not taking about, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I recently came to the discovery that he was a Christian and he has a whole selection of amazing books about Christianity. I am not religious, But lately I have found myself in the depths of wanting to know more. If you didn’t know this not that I share it a lot but here it goes. I grew up being a Jehovah’s Witness up until I was 13 years old. I drew myself to this one from someone I follow on Instagram, Who I Admire for her Grace. She posted a couple of pages on her Inta-story and as I began to read them I couldn’t help myself than to ask what she was reading. I went to Baren’s and noble to pick up a copy and I could not put it down at all. this read has titles from the whole series he has on Christianity.
One of my first, self help books and it made me realize so much. How, Little time I was spending with my son and how I wasn’t happy even though I always had a smile on my face. It made me realize that even though I was giving my son everything he wanted what he mostly wanted was time and myself included I was so focused in working and bettering my self financially. there wasn’t enough time in the day to do it all.
To finish it off there is a list of the rest I have read this year before this post gets any bigger, I even added some for my Game of Throne lovers (the books are better )
Hope you enjoy a couple of my favorite reads so far. Their were more but not as great as I found these .Perfect gift you can give someone in my book is the gift of a good read. ( I myself have a Kindle but prefer the paper copy if I can. ) Happy December.
